Anyone who’s been following iRunFar for more than half a year knows that we love the Marathon des Sables. I personally ran the 2009 edition and can’t wait to go back. I just can’t get enough of MdS. Anyway, I recently had the good fortune to learn that Marathon of the Sands, a documentary on the 2000 Marathon des Sables, can now be enjoyed on the internet. Whether you’re considering running the race or simply enjoy a good running movie you should pull up a chair and watch this film, which we’ve embedded linked below… and we’re not just saying that because our good friends Jay Batchen, Lisa Smith-Batchen, and Michael Wardian (2008 iRF Wardian interview) are featured in the movie!
