Many years ago, iRunFar had a popular audio-only feed of all of its video interviews and gear reviews available on iTunes that folks could listen to podcast style. The service that provided the automatic video-to-audio conversion discontinued it nearly four years ago. After routinely checking for replacements in the years that followed, I’ve found and implemented a solution. I’m psyched to announce that once again most of iRunFar’s videos will be automatically available in audio-only feed.
Note, this isn’t a podcast. It’s quite literally iRunFar’s videos converted into audio-only form so folks can listen to them on the run, during a commute, or whenever and wherever they want!
It’s here that I’ll pause for a moment to thank our 400-plus patrons on Patreon for their support. Their monthly pledges made it possible for us to take on the additional reoccurring costs of the transcoding service and the podcast-distribution service. We look forward to seeing what else we’re able to do as others—perhaps, you?–join in to support iRunFar’s work.
In its previous iteration, our audio-only feed was available only through iTunes (now, Apple Podcast). Now, with our additional of a podcast-distribution service thanks to our patrons’ support, we’re psyched that iRunFar Audio will be available on a much wider range of audio platforms. Below are some of the places that you’ll be able to find iRunFar Audio at the moment.
- Apple Podcast
- Stitcher
- Google Play
- Overcast.fm
- Player.fm
We’ve also submitted the feed to a number of other podcast directories and platforms. For instance, it should soon be available on Google Play. (Let us know if you see it’s gone live!) Please let us know if you’d like us to add iRunFar Audio to another platform and we’ll see what we can do! If you’re able to subscribe to a “podcast” directly, here’s the feed: https://irunfar.libsyn.com/rss .
Of course, you can still subscribe to all of our videos over on YouTube.
